Disposal is not working
Jamming or Blockage : A jam or blockage in the grinding mechanism is a common cause of a rubbish disposal not functioning. Disposal blades may become stuck with foreign items, including bones, fibrous materials, or utensils, which will stop them from turning. This may result in motor overload and the waste disposal system ceasing to function.
Electrical Issues : When the garbage disposal is not operating, electrical issues may also be to blame. The power supply to the disposal may be cut off by difficulties such as a blown fuse, a tripped circuit breaker, or damaged wiring. The trash disposal won't work without the correct electrical connection.
Reset button activation : As a safety measure, disposals for waste come with a reset button. The disposal's reset button can trip and turn off the power if it comes into contact with a heavy load or jam. Resetting the internal circuit and restoring functionality can be accomplished by pressing the reset button, which is often found on the bottom of the disposal unit.
Worn Out or Faulty Components : Parts of a garbage disposal that can wear out or malfunction over time include the motor, blades, and seals. Problems with performance or outright failure may result from this wear and strain. The disposal could stop working appropriately if important components are damaged.
